Mary Wollstonecraft was a wonderfully ambitious, adventurous and brilliant woman, decades, if not centuries ahead of her time. Actually way ahead of everyone's time. She is most well known as an early feminist and as the mother of Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein.

She was an incredibly determined woman with a brilliant mind. She was born in 1759 and had aspirations well beyond what society was willing to allow her, many of which she achieved anyway. She was politically, sexually, and philosophically very progressive and assertive. She has been a major influence for feminists around the world for well over 200 years now. Unfortunately much of society has still never caught up with 18th century Mary Wollstonecraft.
