Occasionally, well more than occasionally someone exceptional just doesn't make it into our everyday history books. We're fan's of people getting their fair due and we're fan's of revealing those unsung individuals (oftentimes minorities!) who should be making it into our everyday history books.
Clara Wieck was a child prodigy, who's great skills and admirers only continued to grow throughout her entire life and over 60 year concert career. She was highly praised by all of her contemporaries, among them Chopin and Liszt. She was instrumental in helping to establish Brahms to the concert going public and was the first to perform many of his works. She married Robert Schumann in 1837.
