We have both appreciated the art and artists of the Pre-Raphaelite style for as long as we can remember. We love the art of John William Waterhouse inparticular. He had a long and illustrious career, exhibiting at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition every year from 1874-1916 with the exception of 2 years. We love his embrace of classicism, bold colors of nature and attention to detail, not to mention his complex and daring subject matter.

This piece is based off part of a Alfred, Lord Tennyson poem and was completed in 1900.   We love the color palate of this particular painting along with the serenity of the white doe following along.
