Alice Flamingo Birds of a Feather Wonderland Flour Sack Towel

Style# 307
Alice In Wonderland

This large, heavyweight flour sack towel features "Birds of a Feather," a design of mine based on an illustration by Sir John Tenniel. It centers around Alice trying to play croquet with a flamingo as a mallet; I have added a top hat and bow tie to this dapper bird. The quote, "Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast," is spoken by the White Queen in the book Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

These screen-printed towels are stylish yet utilitarian, built for the everyday kitchen hustle and bustle while looking great folded over your oven door.

This piece is one of many born from a deep fascination with "all things Alice." Over the years, I have collaged and composed dozens of works in various mediums, repurposing damaged or discarded vintage books dedicated to Alice’s adventures. With paintbrush, pen, or detail scissors in hand, I create these pieces as glimpses into my own interpretations of these truly wonderful stories.
