Occasionally when digging deep into my collection of ephemera I come across images that just speak to me. For me, they're just begging to have more of a story put to them. This is one of those images.  I have not yet been able to identify original artist of this image, only that it was the cover of Needlecraft Magazine from January, 1929.   There is a wonderful whimsy about this image with the ducklings, windmills and brilliant colors, and nonchalance with which the girls are walking and knitting.
