Josephine was a very interesting woman who led an intriguing life. Probably most well known as Empress of the French and the first wife of Napoleon I. Although they were only married 5 years they remained close for the remainder of her life. Her lineage is filled with royal descendants, kings, dukes, and emperors. She is probably just as well known for her massive rose gardens and new rose hybrids as she is for her royal status.
