This stunning piece painted by Leonardo Da Vinci between 1489-1490 is only one of 4 known portraits of women to have been painted by the Master. It depicts Cecilia Gallerani, a young woman born into a respected family, but not nobility. She was painted by Da Vinci during the time she was Mistress to the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza.
