Louisa May Alcott 1832-1888, was a poet, author, feminist, suffragist. She wrote several novels under the alias A.M. Barnard as well as her own name. She was a transcendentalist, and her family served as a station masters on the Underground Railroad. She had a short, vibrant life. I have meticulously hand-colored the photo of Louisa May Alcott and collaged it with pieces from an antique bookplate of Little Women.
