Rose Red and Snow White

For many years we've collected antique engravings, etchings, and illustrations. Our tastes are eclectic. Architecture, the animal kingdom, botanicals, musical instruments, historical figures, fairy tales and fables have all been fair game. Snow-White and Rose-Red is an unusual fairy tale even by fairy tale standards. It is neither Snow White nor Little Red Riding Hood. It has some similarities to both stories but is considered it's own fable entirely. It was written at the beginning of the 19th century. The most well known variant of the story is one collected by The Brothers Grimm, tale 161.
