Van Gogh Self Portrait
An excellent way to carry art with you. This pocket mirror features one of Vincent Van Gogh's Self Portraits from Saint-Remy circa 1889.

Over a one decade period Van Gogh produced approximately 40 self portraits. It is thought by many historians that this may have been his last, completed in September of 1889. Van Gogh wrote to his brother regarding this painting
"I hope you will notice that my facial expressions have become much calmer, although my eyes have the same insecure look as before, or so it appears to me."
The Musee d'Orsay seemed to feel differently when they obtained the painting in 1986, saying.
"the model's immobility contrasts with the undulating hair and beard, echoed and amplified in the hallucinatory arabesques of the background."
